If everyone is automatically reconciled to God irrespective of their unbelief in Christ’s finished work on the cross as payment for their sins, why then did the Apostle Paul fervently or urgently ask some of those who were in Corinth to be reconciled to God :
Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. ~ 2 Corinthians 5:20
This is confirmed in :
2 Corinthians 6:2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)
Succoured : Brought aid to; rendered assistance.
Food for thought : Prisoners of war were liberated and succoured.
