Why does the Apostle Paul tell us to be thankful, or to give thanks in everything? 1 Thessalonians 5:18; Ephesians 5:20; Colossians 3:17; 2 Thessalonians 2:13
Giving thanks in everything includes persecution, being put down, being happy, being sad, being sick, being tired, depressed : both in good times and in bad times.
Romans 5:3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
Romans 12:12 – Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;
