When a self-elected “Grace Pastor” tells you that it doesn’t matter how long he’s been in the faith, run……… as the gross misrepresentation of Pauline truth has everything to do with how long one has been saved, and how well one understand Pauline truth as opposed to mimicking it like a parrot from 10 other “Grace Pastors” videos and suspect websites.
1 Timothy 1:12 And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;T
In turn, the Apostle Paul was now enabling Timothy for the ministry. Did he (Timothy) just freely go on to preach to all and sundry without being enabled as a Minister of the Faith (aka the Faith of Christ)?
Paul had a lot to teach Timothy before he could be considered a teacher and a preacher of the faith, and rightly so.
Even attending so-called “Bible College” isn’t enough to enable a person for the ministry as one needs to accumulate experience. Being a “Pastor” shouldn’t be taken lightly, after all, one is dealing with the souls of men and God’s doctrine (which shouldn’t be blasphemed).
Today there is no such thing, You Tube and Facebook are riddled with self-elected / nominated “Grace Preachers and Teachers” who proudly declare “Right Division” and “Pauline Truth” to the masses, some with rock music and cussing, others with self-righteousness and pseudo-intellectualism – and that after only a year or two after listening to “Through the Bible in 7 days”. Don’t believe me – ask them how long after being saved did they declare themselves the honourable role of Pastor so-and-so. Everyone knows that inexperienced people make mistakes, therefore they need to be guided and shown the right way, and learn from their mistakes. Not so today – everyone goofs up at will and nothing is said.
It’s like a circus out there.
If you read the epistles Paul wrote to Timothy, you’ll see how sorely lacking these so-called modern day “Pastors” are.
1 Timothy 1:3 As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine,
And how many of the Berean Bible Society persuasion do you think teach other doctrine like the 12 being in the Body of Christ? Take Hebrews to Jude to be applicable to the Body of Christ today? Add Romans 10:9 the gospel?
This is only one good example.
1 Timothy 1:
5 Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:
6 From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling;
7 Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.
How many do you think have a pure heart? A good conscience? Or a faith unfeigned? Very few. The majority are egotistical henchmen looking after their own skin.
And if you think some aren’t teachers of the law, well, think again. There’s one that I know of who teaches that Leviticus 19:19 as being applicable today.
Instead of teaching that all things are lawful to us today, but that not all thing are expedient – he quotes Leviticus 19:19, instead he could also teach that as members of the Body of Christ we shouldn’t be conformed to the world.
I could go on, but you should read the rest of the epistles to Timothy yourself and make up your own mind.
The conclusion you come to is solely up to you and you have to live with it and your conscience – if it hasn’t been seared.
