Ephesians 5:30 ~ For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
Galatians 3:26-27 ~ For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptised into Christ have put on Christ.
Galatians 4:6-7 ~ And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying, Abba Father. Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
Romans 8:14-15 ~ For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
The name of God in this instance – Abba Father, is significant as it relates to the closeness and intimacy of the members of the Body of Christ to God. We have the enviable right of calling Him “daddy”. Imagine calling the Great I Am, the One Living God and Creator, “daddy”. That is a truly awesome thought.
God adopts us through our faith in Christ, according the Gospel of the Uncircumcision that the Apostle Paul was made the Chief Steward of.
It is the good pleasure of God’s will to adopt us as His sons : Ephesians 1:5 ~ Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
God predestined the Body of Christ : Ephesians 1:4 ~ According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
God knew that the elect, the Jews would reject their Messiah and His offer of the Kingdom, He knew this before He created the world, it is therefore because of this reason He put a plan into place whereby all men could be saved irrespective of the fact that they could no longer go through Israel for their salvation (because God rendered her lo-ammi and put her Prophetic programme in abeyance, which includes Israel’s Kingdom Gospel).
God in His infinite mercy, wisdom, longsuffering, kindness and love gave Man a new, alternate way to be saved, through Christ Jesus’ finished work on the cross, and revealed this plan to the Apostle Paul. The mystery that was hid in God before the foundation of the world was finally revealed to the Apostle Paul.
1 Timothy 1:16 ~
Howbeit, for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first, Jesus Christ might shew forth all long suffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.
The Apostle Paul is our pattern today. It is through the Gospel given to him by the ascended Christ that our never-dying souls are saved.
Ephesians 2:6-7 ~ And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
Ephesians 3:20-21 ~ Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto Him be the glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all thing that we ask or think :
According to what we want in this current life? According to our fleshly needs? According to our Pastor’s/Preacher’s wants and needs? According to someone else’s wants/needs?
ACCORDING TO THE POWER THAT WORKETH IN US……..
Ephesians 3:16 ~ That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
2 Timothy 4:2 ~ Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.
To be a vessel whereby souls are saved through the preaching of the Gospel; to be a vessel of honour :
2 Timothy 2:20-22 ~
But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.
If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.
Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
