THE gift of God to all men – 1 Corinthians 15:1-4

Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:

After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.

After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles.

And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.

For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

10 But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

What good news did the Apostle Paul receive?

How that Christ died for our sins (according to the scriptures) – the good news that this was given not only to Israel, but to the Gentiles as well,

And that Christ was buried, and that He rose again the third day (according to the scriptures)

If a person receives this good news and stands on it in faith, that person is saved.

First you are saved by your faith in Christ finished work on Calvary’s cross alone.

What does God say faith is?

Hebrews 11:1 ~ Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

After being saved, one is then edified and doctrine is explained.  It’s at this point the salvation process is explained – what Christ’s death for sins, His burial and resurrection really mean, how we should behave, as well as our ministries as members of the body of Christ.

Can a person who denies faith alone in the good news of 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 as being all that is required to save men’s souls ever manage to save anyone on their death-bed?

Only a 21st century Pharisee would deny the saving power of 1 Corinthians 15:1-4.  Some people have so little faith that they profess only to be saved once they know or are edified.

2 Timothy 3:5 ~ Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

Doesn’t the abovementioned verse somehow remind you of the Joint-heirs with Christ hereticks in the Grace Denominational Movement?

2 Timothy 3:6 ~

For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,

Silly women indeed.

Amazing how the Apostle Paul calls them silly but say it today to any one of them and they’ll run you down with their superior self-righteousness which they’ve gained by their own good works trying hard to work for their spiritual sanctification, which I might add is an element of salvation and is purely God-given upon believing the Gospel of 1 Corinthians 15:1-4.

They’ve elected themselves more like joint-saviours with Christ.

Makes you wonder how some of them know when they’ve actually reached joint-heir status with Christ.  After 50% good works, or is it 80%?  A 100%

None of them can tell you.   They avoid the issue like the plague, and probably because one plaster headed dude is too busy blow waving his long hair.
