YOU CAN TELL YOU’RE DEALING WITH A LOST PERSON WHEN….

He says the Quran is the same as the Bible – Pope Francis.

When someone says they’re saved because they’ve made Jesus the Lord and Saviour of their lives – Chapter and verse please.

They’ve repented of their sin and have been water baptized – Chapter and verse please.

They GO to church – The church is a building?  Who knew.

They think their salvation (obtaining it and maintaining it) is solely dependent on their good works and would include “enduring until the end”.

They maintain that a person can be saved today through the Old Testament scriptures (Israel’s Torah).

They do not believe that Christ’s FINISHED work on Calvary’s cross alone saves men’s souls.

They still ask Jesus to save them as they aren’t aware that He already made the provision for all men to be saved, and all they need to now do is BELIEVE it.  The provision is to be found in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 in an Authorized King James Bible.

It’s easy, and it’s simple.  God made it easy for men to be saved, yet men complicate His provision, and Satan keeps most blinded to it.

Unbelief is reflected by some people who state that believing 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 doesn’t save men’s souls, when that’s exactly what the Apostle Paul states it does.

Some call it “easy believism” or “cheap grace”.   One day when you stand before God at the White Throne Judgment I doubt very much whether you would call Christ’s suffering on Calvary’s cross (in your stead) “cheap grace” to His face.

There is nothing cheap or easy about Christ dying for your sins, being buried and rising from the dead on the third day.

When people reject the Gospel, I already know their future and I think of them standing before Almighty God at the White Throne Judgment one day.  I think of ALL men bowing before Him – Atheists, murderers, rapists, Muslims, Hindus, Catholics, Baptists, thieves, liars – all of them clothed in their own righteousness.

I wouldn’t want to stand before a righteous, just and holy God clothed in my own righteousness and pride.  It’s a scary thought.
