“Instead of insisting on the unity of the mind, we need to preserve the unity by taking the initiative to be the peacemaker in our relationships. Bitterness and unforgiveness toward other believers is the most widespread stronghold that Satan and his forces enjoy, and if we do not let offenders off our hook, we are hooked to them.”
Kumbayah my Lord, kumbayah…………
Romans 16:17-18 ~
17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.
18 For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.
Titus 3:10 ~
A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject;
Rejection and avoidance of people doesn’t mean you are hooked to them, it means you are “unhooked” from them – in other words, it means you no longer have to put up with their drivel, lies and Bible correcting, they are unable to influence you. You can take some people out of Pentecostalism, but you can’t take the Pentecostalism out of them. And that means you don’t have to join them in their Pentecostal state.
The Apostle Paul however does say this :
Ephesians 4:32 ~ And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.
Paul is talking about malice, anger, wrath, bitterness, speaking evil of one another in general, he isn’t referring to doctrine, and he isn’t referring to associating with someone who is entrenched in unsound doctrine. There is a difference.
This quoted text above comes from a so-called RDer’s blog and is made up of “just thoughts” and the impression it gives is “so as not to offend anyone” with real Bible truth. Tip-toeing through the tulips which to my mind are more spiritual landmines.
Bible Greeker extraordinaire – which makes him/her a Bible corrector :
“Romans 8:14 – “as many as are led” is the Greek present tense, it is a tense of continual action. It is not something that takes place occasionally. It is not something that takes place at various times in our lives, or something that may have taken place at a time or two in the past.”
Doesn’t have a clue either that we have the Holy Spirit who helps with our weaknesses, so states we receive God’s energizing power from above?
Romans 8:26-27 :
In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.
1 Corinthians 3:16 :
Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
So much for “receiving God’s energizing Spirit from above”…….
2 Timothy 2:25 ~ In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
