1 Corinthians 10:31

Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

DO ALL TO THE GLORY OF GOD.

If we are gluttons, are we eating to the glory of God?  No.  We are eating to the glory of our flesh.

If we drink and get drunk – is that drinking to the glory of God?  No.  How can a person’s drunkenness glorify God?  It glories the god of this world, yes.

If we celebrate something devilish – is that celebrating to the glory of God? No.  Since when is participating in the ways of the world a way to glorify God?  What does God think of heathen practises?  Did the golden calf the Israelites build glorify God?

If we walk around half naked, is that dressing to the glory of God?  No.

If we cuss – is that talking in a manner as to glorify God?  No.

So what seems to be the problem then?  Some people have such a low IQ, quite frankly it’s UNBELIEVABLE.

So sit at your table decorated with a chocolate bunny in the centre, laden with ham, easter eggs, roast legs of mutton, beef, pork, then feast until you want to burst and drink until you fall over and shout out, “I am doing it to the glory of God” and see what the heathen/unbeliever next door to you will think and say.  of course he will look down on you and say something to the effect of, “Those Christians are total morons”, and he would be totally correct in his assumption.

It’s at times like these I want to say, “Senor, eet ees by taaime yoo took zee Eengleesh leshon”.

LOL yep … totally misquoted, twisted, taken out of context, beaten out of shape Scripture spurting … I have no idea how folk come up with some things … to appease the flesh my guess is. We don’t mould the word around our puny minds, we submit and obey the word.
