HEBREW DOCTRINE :
1 John 2
2And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. 3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

PAULINE DOCTRINE :
25Whom God hath set forth (to be) a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God. 26 To declare, (I say,) at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
