John 3:16 isn’t the gospel that saves men’s souls today

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Yes, it says world – the world at that time  whereby salvation was under Israel’s prophetic programme.  A world that had to go through Israel for salvation, prostelyze to the Jewish faith, Israel’s law programme.

How do we know this?

John 4:22 – salvation is of the Jews…….

Mark 16:15 – go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature ….. and to the ends of the earth………

When certain grace preachers (yes, I’m picking on them again, and with good reason) tell you that Matthew, Mark, Luke and John are pre-crucifixion doctrine, they’re not telling you the entire truth, the latter parts of Matthew, Mark, Luke & John are post-crucifixion doctrine pertaining to Israel, but same doctrine is different to “how that Christ died for your sins, was buried and rose again on the third day”, and if you believe it, you are saved (as per Pauline doctrine – 1 Corinthians 15:1-4).

Post crucifixion doctrine under Israel’s prophetic law programme has a different set of beliefs, as we can see for a start from John 3:16, which doesn’t state that if one believes that Christ died for one’s sins, was buried and rose again on the third day one is saved, but clearly states that ” that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

“BELIEVETH IN HIM”.  Believe He is the Son of God – 1 John 4:15; 1 John 4; John 6:28

They also have to believe on His name – 1 John 5:12

They also have to (verbally) confess that He is the Son of God and that they believe in Him – 1 John 4:15; John 1:20

They have to keep the commandments/do good works – James 2:26; Hebrews 13:16; Matthew 5:16; James 2:14-17

2 Corinthians 5:19 “To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.”

Yes, it says world once again, but this time it isn’t the world under the Dispensation of the Law or the Prophetic Programme, it’s the world under the Dispensation of the Grace of God, the mystery revealed to the Apostle Paul by the risen Christ.

How do we know this?

Ephesians 3:2; Cokossians 1:26

Since Acts 9 (under the Apostle Paul’s mnistry), God is dealing with people differently.

God, was in Christ (past tense) reconciling the world unto Himself (present tense) – which means that God was in Christ on Calvary’s cross – how that He died, was buried and rose again on the third day, and is now reconciling the world unto Himself by way of His finished work on Calvary’s cross and His resurrection, which is the word of reconciliation, the word of truth, the Gospel (1 Corinthians 15:1-4), and has committed (given) this gospel to us, members of the Body of Christ, the One NEW Man to preach to others in order that the world can become reconciled to Him (past tense).

So when one is reconciled to God by way of the word of reconciliation, one’s sins are no longer imputed to you.

How do we know this?

Our sins have been forgiven, which means they have been taken away – Ephesians 1:7; Colossians 1:14; Ephesians 1:6;  Ephesians 2:9-10; Romans 3:24; Romans 5:1,8

The fact that our sins are no longer imputed to our accounts can be seen by the fact that we’re saved and sealed unto the day of redemption – Ephesians 4:30

See the semi-colon in this verse – there’s a very good reason why it’s there:

“…..not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.”

When a semicolon is used to join two or more ideas (parts) in a sentence, those ideas are then given equal position or rank.

That is why “not imputing their trespasses unto them” is given equal position or rank with “and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation”.

Only saved peoples’ sins aren’t imputed to them, just like only saved people are reconciled to God Almighty.

And to think some have disjoined reconciliation and justification purely because they cannot understand English grammar, apart from the fact that they do not believe what they read in the Authorized King James Bible, mind you, Curt Crist isn’t King James Bible Only, he’s also a Bible Greeker and a perverted Bible purveyor – two very good reasons why one shouldn’t even trust him with your cat.

There, I said it, now build a bridge and get over it.

    • It isn’t you have to look at it in the context of John 4:22, Matthew 15:24 and Matthew 1O:5.

The gospel that saves men’s souls today is 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 – what the Apostle Paul calls “my gospel” – Romans 16:25-26, as well as Galatians 2:7-9
