……. knucklehead who believes this :
“Don’t judge those who sin differently to you”
Should read and study the Apostle Paul’s first epistle to the Corinthians.
1 Corinthians 5:12 12 For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?
13 But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.
Paul’s first epistle to the Corinthians is proof that saved people can behave just like lost people, or even worse, which leads me to the question : What do Lordship Salvationists make of 1 Corinthians – how do they make it fit into their performance based salvation of having to change one’s life, repent of one’s sin and making Jesus the Lord of one’s life in order to obtain salvation?
I know their response to bringing up Paul’s first letter to the Corinthians, that it doesn’t validate bad behaviour – and so they turn it into an entirely different issue – totally missing the point that saved people can behave like buffoons, hence one shouldn’t look to anyone’s behaviour/attitude as proof of their salvation, but rather to find out what they actually believe concerning their salvation. Our salvation comes via the mind, not via the body/flesh.
My conclusion concerning their beliefs/line of thinking is that if one is in the flesh (unsaved), one looks to the flesh for evidence (of salvation) – you look for outward proof, of another’s spiritual condition, (things you can see), because you are walking by sight.
The moral of the story of those who are in the Body of Christ who blatantly do not exercise any self-control as pertaining to their flesh is 1 Corinthians 5:5 : To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
This isn’t practised even remotely today in the Body of Christ because most are terribly politically correct, I say.
Besides, it is seen as being too harsh coming from a wussy Mid-Acts Dispensational point of view, those who are suitably propped up with suspect doctrine, and who gather unto themselves teachers.
“Can’t we all just agree to disagree or just get along?”
Is it any wonder that those who are still clothed in their own righteousness pull rabbits out of the hat like, “you have a license to sin”, or, “you believe in cheap grace”
But them that are without God judgeth.
1 Corinthians 7:9 9 But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn.
….. than burn. This doesn’t pertain to hell/the lake of fire, it pertains to the Judgment Seat of Christ :
1 Corinthians 3:15 If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
As we are living/as we have lived in this body of flesh during our tenure on this earth as saved members of the body of Christ:
*Sound doctrine matters
*How we behave in the flesh matters
*What Bible we uphold and believe matters
