18 (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:
19 Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)
20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.
The same vile body that mainline denominationalists profess can be renewed.
Well, if it can be renewed while you’re still inhabiting it, why is it changed that it may be fashioned unto His glorious body once (saved) people enter heaven?
1 Corinthians 15:44 – It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
1 Corinthians 15:49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
He changes it, not you, and He doesn’t change it during one’s tenure on this earth either.
Enemies of the cross : their bellies are their God (capital letter), they glory in their shame, and they mind EARTHLY things….. politics, social causes, earthly ambitions, climate change, religion……. preservation of the flesh, the earthly body, the outerman.
Their fleshly desires rule them, they glory in their dishonour…….. and they mind earthly things………
Romans 16:18 For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.
1 Corinthians 6:13 Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.
Most think because they are saved, they won’t suffer the consequences of their (erroneous) actions.
