When something is new, it means it didn’t exist before……
“Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain ONE NEW MAN, so making peace;” – The Apostle Paul, Ephesians 2:15.
One – singular.
New – didn’t exist before.
Abolished the law of commandments contained in the ordinances : Israel’s levitical and mosaic law doesn’t apply today – abolished.
Everyone is saved in the same way today, and it’s not by (a) changing your lifestyle, (b) repenting of your sin, or (c) being born-again.
Israel has to be born-again because she is currently lo-ammi which means she’s not God’s people. We see her being born-again (once again becoming a nation of believers as was the initial intention) in the Hebrew epistles – Hebrews to Revelation. Future.
You can try to be “born-again” today, but it ain’t gonna work because you aren’t Israel in a future time. Besides, what does a heathen Gentile have to be born-again from?
The only way you can be reconciled to God is by believing 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 : Through faith in Christ’s payment for your sins and His resurrection from the dead. He DID it all – there is nothing you can DO.
Israel’s 10% tithe is part of the Levitical Law by the way – it has got absolutely nothing to do with us today.
There are no ifs, buts or maybes in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, and it refers to you today as a Gentile, in an age where there is neither Greek (Gentile) or Jew.
“…… to make in himself of twain ONE NEW MAN”.
twain – two. Gentile and Jew. One new man. Saved in the same way – not through Covenant theology, but through Christ according to the revelation of the mystery.
Romans 16:25 – Now to him that is of power to stablish you ACCORDING TO MY GOSPEL, and the PREACHING OF JESUS CHRIST ACCORDING TO THE REVELATION OF THE MYSTERY, which was kept secret since the world began,
Christ according to the revelation of the mystery
My gospel – singular
kept secret since the world began….. which means it wasn’t revealed before it was given to the Apostle Paul, which means it’s nowhere to be seen in Israel’s Old Covenant…..
