Ecclesiastes

Whoever wrote Ecclesiastes, was the son of David and he was king over Israel too:

Ecclesiastes 1:1 The words of the Preacher, the son of David, king in Jerusalem.

Ecclesiastes 1:12 I the Preacher was king over Israel in Jerusalem.

Ecclesiastes 1:13 And I gave my heart to seek and search out by wisdom concerning all things that are done under heaven: this sore travail hath God given to the sons of man to be exercised therewith.

That’s life on this planet – a sore travail.  So if you aren’t saved, that’s basically all you have achieved.  You work (labour), you deal with suffering, trouble and agony during this life, either physically, mentally, emotionally or financially and then you live in hell for eternity because you died not being reconciled to God.  In short – tragedy.

Ecclesiastes 1:18 For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow.

There is much grief in much wisdom.  When one is saved, one knows and realises the grief that most of the world is on its way to hell in a handbasket, there is grief and sorrow in knowing that people refuse to believe, and would much rather stay as they are being blissfully happy in their ignorance.  There is grief too in knowing that one’s family and friends are in rank unbelief too.  There is grief and sorrow in being made an enemy by most because of one’s beliefs.

Ecclesiastes 2: I said in mine heart, Go to now, I will prove thee with mirth, therefore enjoy pleasure: and, behold, this also is vanity.

People are under the impression that if they party, enjoy pleasure and surround themselves with mirth, they do not have to think about death, their souls, salvation.  Yet the common denominator of all who inhabit this planet is death.  We all die. But the author of Ecclesiastes says pleasure and mirth too is vanity, and it is.  It is short-lived.

When someone says they have a “bucket list” of things they would like to do or achieve before they die – it makes me wonder what the point of the whole exercise is.  What is more important?  Your soul’s salvation or sky-diving?  Your soul’s salvation or traveling around the globe?  When you land up in hell for eternity, knowing that you’ve sky-dived and traveled the world isn’t going to benefit you anything.  It’s going to mean absolutely nothing – vanity.

Someone I’ve encountered of late had an elder sister who died at the age of 55 about three years ago.  This woman had an executive position with the company she was employed at, she accumulated wealth, she went white-water rafting, sky-dived, traveled, did things not many other people got to do.  The saying is, “Just as well she got to do those things because she died at a young age.”  BUT, what did those things benefit her?  What do they benefit her in hell?   Many people are going to have many regrets for eternity.

The reason you were born, given life, is to have a chance at God-given salvation.  That’s the only reason you were born.  If it wasn’t so, then God would have destroyed this planet a long time ago, but because He is MERCIFUL, He puts up with the unrighteousness, the evil and wickedness of men in order that they may be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth.  1 Timothy 2:4

You can accumulate wealth during your tenure on this earth, but you cannot take it with you when you die.

Ecclesiastes 5 As he came forth of his mother’s womb, naked shall he return to go as he came, and shall take nothing of his labour, which he may carry away in his hand.

16 And this also is a sore evil, that in all points as he came, so shall he go: and what profit hath he that hath laboured for the wind?

Once thing I’ve noticed which all rich people have in common is the fact that they are never satisfied with how rich they are – they always want to be richer, accumulate more wealth, but you exit this world the same way you entered it.  Wealth too is vanity, it will mean nothing when you are in hell for eternity.

When I get to see how peoples’ mindset has changed due to the fact that they frequent and sit in the pews of mainline, denominational, institutionalised pagan christianity, the mind boggles.

I see how a certain well-known rugby player who is suffering from motor neuron disease, and how they are praying for his healing.  This man tried quacks who fed him goodness knows what in order to be healed, for which he paid thousands.  Religious snake oil salesmen who have laid hands on him, others who have commanded the devil to flee from him – all in vain, and they put it down to “God’s will”, or should I say, “the will of the unknown God”.

One would think that since no-one has been able to walk on water these days, speak in other KNOWN languages when they enter foreign lands as missionaries, or have people raised from the dead – one’s common sense and logic would prevail and tell one that something is definitely wrong.

To them, everyone that’s been “nice” to them and who has died is automatically now an angel.   You are heaven bound if you are a “nice” person.   You are sent of God if you hold to a social programme, hence the reason why the majority are under the impression that Mother Theresa is now on Cloud 9 playing a harp with a halo around her head.

The only reason why pagan Gentiles of western civilisation, years ago had any morals or values, and weren’t barbarians as such was due to the fact that they adhered to Godly principles as laid down in the Bible.  As far as their salvation was concerned, that is an entirely different matter.   Being a good person adhering to Biblical morals and standards doesn’t render one automatically saved.

Most of the biblical standards they adhered to were from Israel’s Old Covenant – an eye for an eye.  But even this has now been thrown by the wayside, as the world we’re currently living in is becoming more and more liberal.  It is the age of the Liberal.

I read a news article this morning that sickened me.  The age of consent in Germany is 14.  14 years old.  Imagine that – still a child.  But that’s not all.  The parents of a 15  year old girl went to court to try and prevent their daughter from having sex with her……….. uncle and the German court ruled that there was nothing they could do to prevent their daughter from sleeping with him – there was no law against this, especially as she was 15 years old already, she was free to do as she pleased…….  absolutely sickening.

It’s the age of incest and bestiality.  Anything goes.  They call it human rights, diversification – as long as it doesn’t hurt anyone (physically), it’s alright.  Heathen Gentiles minus old-fashioned (boring, staid) biblical principles.

Heathen Gentiles who are now “led by the Spirit” minus the letter (which kills).  Heathen Gentiles doing it their way with the help of doctrines of devils and seducing spirits, with the aim of bringing in the “kingdom on earth”, waiting for the return of “their king”.  I guess when their “king” rides in on his white horse and a crown of sorts on his head, they’ll get what they wanted as per Revelation 6:2.

People get what they deserve.  It’s the law of cause and effect.  What you sow, you will reap.
