JUDGE WHAT I SAY

1 Corinthians 10

I love this chapter – he tells them (the saved Jews) not to murmur because no temptation has taken them other than that which is common to Man.  “So stop moaning and suck it up – be thankful for what you have,  – salvation and all spiritual blessings in heavenly places, be thankful in all things, in other words – don’t moan”.

Paul treats them AS wise men – not as the ignoramuses they were and tells them to judge what he says.

*Irony*

15 I speak as to wise men; judge ye what I say.

Wise men judge what others say.

These following verses bring xmas, easter, valentine’s day, halloween, etc to mind, although I know Paul is speaking wrt idols and idol worshipping, but then again, isn’t celebrating xmas, easter, valentine’s day, etc., idol worship?

21 Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table, and of the table of devils.

22 Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he?
