And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
When a person is saved by trusting the gospel of Christ, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, he/she is a new creature.
IN HIM (in Christ) we do not have our own righteousness. When we believed the gospel, we automatically received His righteousness.
Our own righteousness (self-righteousness) is of the (Levitical & Mosaic) law, and since we aren’t under same today, it cannot, is unable to justify us in the eyes of God (Romans 6:14).
We receive His righteousness through the faith of Christ (which is Pauline doctrine, which in turn contains the gospel of Christ – 1 Corinthians 15:1-4).
Our righteousness is of God by FAITH. It is imputed to us when we believe the Gospel.
22 And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.
23 Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him;
24 But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;
25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.
In this current dispensation, God declares people holy/righteous purely by faith, not by their own righteousness which is of the law, i.e., good works, change of lifestyle, nor is it by repenting of one’s sins – why?
Because Christ died for those sins, and when you trust the gospel of Christ (1 Corinthians 15:1-4), those sins are forgiven, so you have absolutely nothing to repent of.
Repenting of one’s sins shows rank unbelief in Christ’s finished work on Calvary’s cross and His ressurection, it reflects that one did/do not trust fully what He did for you.
And for those who think I’m giving people a “license to sin” by saying that – please note that one’s spirit man is saved, the innerman, not one’s flesh, so if people blatantly continue to sin regardless of what they’ve learnt with respect to Pauline doctrine, they will be either get what they deserve, (a) during their tenure on this earth, or (b) at the Judgment Seat of Christ.
Galatians 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
1 Timothy 5:24 Some men’s sins are open beforehand, going before to judgment; and some men they follow after.
One’s flesh will however always sin – right until the end. But what counts is how much you learn and are edified, in other words practising what you know and preach – what you said and did “yesterday” should not be what you will say and do “today” – it’s called spiritual growth, and this is what the “Behavioural Scientists”, otherwise known as the “Behavioural Police” don’t understand when dealing with babes in Christ : babes in Christ don’t necessarily know how to behave like saved human beings – most of them only know how to behave like self-righteous religionists or atheists, and this is how self-righteousness is propagated, as in “if you’re tense, go offline, prayer and come back online”.
15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.
17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
The answer to online squabbles, arguments, childishness, inanity and bad doctrine is to remove yourself PERMANENTLY from these groups, forums and media, or alternately, remove the offender/s, but experience has taught me that the majority are offenders – so the answer is to remove oneself.
Facebook is for hereticks. I only use Facebook to keep in touch with my son and my sister and a few friends and to basically to measure how far down the quagmire most Mid-Acts Pauline Dispensationalists have sunk.
1 Corinthians 11:19 For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you.
