My experience in religious circles has been one of :
“Oh, you’ve been hurt, that’s why you say the things you do”
My reply is: “Really? Where did you study Rocket Science since everyone is hurt during their lives on this planet – show me one person who leaves this world (dies) untouched by buffoonery, deception, evil and sin”.
“Oh you are bitter, that’s why you say the things you do”
My reply : “Seriously? Dude, buy a mirror and take a long, hard look at yourself, open the Bible and read Paul’s epistles. There’s a distinct difference between reality and bitterness, the two are mutually exclusive. Are you coming from the perspective that small things attract small minds, or is it a case of “it takes one to know one?””
“Oh, but the gospel can’t possibly be as easy as believing what the Apostle Paul says in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4”
My reply : “How much time do you think a person has one his/her deathbed? Besides, what did God say to Abram? “Believe I will take you out of Ur, give you a set of 613 commandments to follow and also circumcise you”? No, he said, leave Ur and I will make you the patriarch of a great nation”. Simple, like 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. Some people like to complicate matters to show off their “brain power” – “I think…..” – yeah right, pull the other one, it’s got bells on it. Thinking in the wrong direction doesn’t make one a Rocket Scientist, or does it?
And that, Ladies & Gentlemen is as good as it gets in Christianity – the more it changes, the more it remains the same – pop psychologist experts (on all the wrong things) who try to psycho-analyse you because they don’t like you or what you’ve got to say. You get it in mainline denominationalism, and you get same in Mid-Acts dispensationalism.
What annoys me is that these very same people couldn’t study themselves approved unto God out of a brown paper bag, their doctrine is questionable, they associate with hereticks (because they themselves are hereticks) and they think they are above board because they behave like good Christians, then when you turn your back the dagger goes in. Too cowardly to say it to your face and out in the open. Back-biters. “Decent” back-biters.
