Do you know what you’re reading and believing?

Isaiah 40:

The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.

According to verse 3, tin foil hatters will be constructing/building a highway in the desert for God……  why?  “Becaws it seys sew”, or “that’s wat eet ses”

The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field:

Yep, we are all grass – “that’s wat eet ses, and our goodliness are flowers in the field”…. we are half grass and half flower, growing on a flat earth, with a glass ceiling on the top, verse 7 confirms it:

The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the Lord bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass.

Mark 9:47 “And if your eye causes you to sin, tear it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than with two eyes to be thrown into hell.”

How many religionists do you see today, walking around with only one eye?  All of them want to enter the Kingdom of God with two eyes…… the fact that they wear spectacles, proves it – they even want to enter the Kingdom of God being able to see – with two eyes. The answer today lies in 2 Timothy 2:15 with respect on how this verse is to be applied.

John 6:51 “I am the living bread that came down out of heaven; if anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread also which I will give for the life of the world is My flesh.”

This is practised by Roman Catholics quite frequently.  When they take communion they literally eat Christ’s body and drink his blood.   Yes, take the Bible literally  and apply it to yourself today – all of it.  2 Timothy 2:15……..

Luke 14:26 “If anyone comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple.”

And all of them (mainline, institutionalised denominationalists)  preach family.  Reconcile with your family, love your family, take selfies with your  family……….. honour your mother and father………… it’s one of the 10 commandments……… and they call themselves disciples.   Once again, one needs to apply this verse with respect to 2 Timothy 2:15.

Mark 9:45 “And if your foot causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life lame than with two feet to be thrown into hell.”

Okay….. so we have one eyed, cripple (one footed) humans being able to enter the Kingdom of God…….. how many of these have you seen or even know (of)?  2 Timothy 2:15….

John 6:54 “Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.”

Do you think this is the reason why Catholics have so much communion?  What about those who take everything in the Bible literally?

Matthew 8:21-22 “Another of the disciples said to him, “Lord, let me first go and bury my father.” And Jesus said to him, “Follow me, and leave the dead to bury their own dead.”

Imagine saying this to a mainline, denominational, institutionalised Christian Pastor?  What do you think he will say?  “No respect for the dead”, “Shameless”, “He was your father….. the proper thing to do is pay your respects”.  Yes, they all profess to follow Christ…………..  but they have trouble with plucking out their eyes and cutting off their feet, eating his flesh and drinking his blood…..  2 Timothy 2:15

And sadly, this is how some people literally interpret all of the Bible.  And their childish mantra is always, “the Bible backs it up”, or “this is confirmed by the Bible”.

Yes the Bible does indeed confirm your foolishness:

Proverbs 18:7 – A fool’s mouth [is] his destruction, and his lips [are] the snare of his soul.

If you refuse to believe the gospel (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) of your salvation.

If you refuse to rightly divide the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15).

If you proof-text and take all scripture literally.

God invented the English language – he uses metaphors, similes, oxymorons, figures of speech, punctuation, nouns, verbs, pronouns, etc, He even made things easier for ancient man to understand what He was saying.  You as a man living in the 21st century shouldn’t be ignorant of these things.
