ABOUT ME AND WHAT I BELIEVE : BECAUSE ETERNITY MATTERS

I am a Mid-Acts Pauline Right Division Dispensationalist.

What does it mean to be a Mid-Acts (Acts 9) Pauline Right Division Dispensationalist?

It means the Bible is progressive revelation. God, although His character and principles remain the same throughout the ages, works differently with people during different dispensations.

DISPENSATION is a Biblical word – Ephesians 3. The Apostle Paul was exclusively given the Dispensation of Grace by the ASCENDED Christ of which He was made the Chief Steward of, to dispense the relevant information on how men could now be saved.

God did not deal the same way with Adam & Eve or Noah as He dealt with the Jews. Adam & Eve were instructed not to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil but they failed.

Noah was instructed to build a ship and he obeyed God, the end result being that he and his wife and intermediate family were saved from destruction and went on to populate the earth through his 3 sons, Shem, Ham & Japheth.

Today we are instructed to believe the Gospel and to rightly divide the word of truth – 1 Timothy 2:4; 2; 2 Timothy 2:15.

God called Abram out of Ur of the Chaldees and instructed him to leave his land of birth, and his family, although his nephew Lot and his father accompanied him, and that He (God) would make his (Abraham’s) descendants a great country, a light unto the world and He would bless them. They were made a peculiar people with their own set of laws and commandments.

Abram changed his name to Abraham. He believed God through faith alone and was saved – Genesis 15 and Romans 4. Only afterwards was Abraham circumsized – Genesis 17 and “marked” as sanctified – set apart from the heathen nations and God made a covenant with Him.

PLEASE NOTE : God made a covenant with Abraham, Abraham did not make a covenant with God.

Abraham’s descendants were known as Hebrews because Abram belonged to the Hebrew tribe when he lived in Ur, he was a descendant of Shem, and thus a Semite. Semitic.

The Hebrews were set-apart (sanctified) from the heathens by way of being given a set of commandments and laws – namely, the Levitical Law, and the Priests who oversaw and implemented these laws were from the tribe of Levi, hence the name “Levitical law”.

The Levitical Law of which the Mosaic Law (given to Moses on two tablets of stone) is a part of, is made up of 613 commandments in total, and what did Christ tell the Jews during His earthly ministry to Israel? He said, if you break one of these commandments, you’ve broken them all – all 613. James 2:10; Matthew 5:19.

Matthew, Mark, Luke & John, the four synoptic gospels depict Christ’s earthly ministry which was solely to Israel : Matthew 10:5; Matthew 15:24.

Why did Jesus say what He said in Matthew 15:24 and Matthew 10:5? Because in times past, Israel was the light unto the world, Gentiles could only be saved through protelyzing to her faith, namely Judaism. This is also the very reason why Jesus said this in Matthew 15:26: “But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to dogs.”

Only when the Gentile woman in question blessed Israel was she accepted.

Gentiles had to prostelyze or bless Israel in times past in order to be saved. This is not the case today, and nor do we have any claim to Israel’s promises. God chose A land – singular, not many lands, and the land in question in the Bible refers to the Kingdom of Israel which is still future. Her tribulation doctrine lies between Hebrews and Revelation. Her perfect sacrifice is the Lamb of God without spot or blemish, not a bull or a goat or a lamb or a dove as in times past. God will again, in a future time, bring her back into the fold and she will inherit her kingdom on earth.

But Israel had a propensity to always follow the ways of the heathen Gentiles and fell into apostasy, they even crucified their Messiah which was the final rejection of worshipping God and following His ways. Read Acts 28. Hence the reason God sent her prophets – to warn her of her apostasy. Today she isn’t a chosen people, she is saved the same way we are : through faith alone in Christ’s finished work on Calvary’s cross, His burial and His resurrection from the dead on the 3rd day.

Today God is dealing with individual salvation, not nations as in times past. If an individual Jew believes the gospel – he is saved.

Hence the reason why God raised up another Apostle, the Apostle Paul and gave him a different set of “rules” with a different gospel to to that of Israel’s Kingdom gospel, since God had now declared Israel lo-ammi – not His people (Hosea 2), he created an alternative way for the world to receive salvation as He couldn’t give Israel’s Kingdom promises to Gentiles as most of those promises for Israel have not yet been fulfilled, and God doesn’t break His promises as His character and principles never change.

Proof:

Compare Romans 4 to James 2.
Paul says today in the Dispensation of God’s grace we ARE saved (as opposed to will be saved)  by grace through faith without works – Ephesians 2:8-9. What is the object of our faith? The gospel which is noted in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4.

How do we know there is more than one gospel (good news) in the Bible? Because we aren’t saved in the same way as Noah was, nor are we saved the same way the Jews were – Galatians 2:7-9. The Gospel of the circumcision was given solely to Israel in order that Gentiles may prostelyze to her faith (times past), and the Gospel of the uncircumcision is given to Gentiles today in order to be saved.

There will however come a time when this dispensation will cease, and God will once again start dealing with Israel and the Kingdom Gospel will come into effect along with their law program.

2 Timothy tells us to rightly divide the word of truth – but what is the word of truth? Ephesians 1:13 tells us what it is. So why does God tell/instruct us to rightly divide the gospel of our salvation? Because there is more than one and we need to believe the right one, the which is in effect during the time we are living.

The Apostle Paul says we are no longer under the law, but under grace. Romans 6:14.

What was the spiritual status of Gentiles under Israel’s Covenant, law-based program? :

Ephesians 2:12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

1) Aliens from the commonwealth of Israel.
2) Strangers from the covenants of promise.

Gentiles in times past had no claim to Israel’s covenants of promise or the commonwealth of Israel – unless they prostelyzed to Judaism.

And yet there are people today who claim all of Israel’s promises and make covenants with Almighty God.

Grace means God’s unmerited favour upon mankind – unmerited means it’s undeserving.  How is His unmerited favour expressed?  In the gospel of 1 Corinthians 15:1-4.  It’s the object of my faith.  All we need to believe in order to be saved and heaven bound is to believe how that Christ died for our sins, that he was buried and rose again for our justification. Romans 4:25.

Since His grace is unmerited or undeserving – we cannot work for our salvation; we cannot work ourselves into heaven. All we can and must  do is believe His payment for our sins on Calvary’s cross and His resurrection.

Justification means being declared holy or righteous in the eyes of God. It’s what He did, not what we can do or have done.

Once we have believed the gospel we receive God’s imputed righteousness – Philippians 3:9; Galatians 2:16

Once you belief what Christ did for you and you rightly divide the Word of Truth – you will finally understand God’s plan and purpose for your life, and you will also understand the Bible. It will all make sense to you.

Thank you for reading my blog.  My prayer is for you to be saved and come unto the knowledge of truth – 1 Timothy 2:4.  Because eternity matters.
